There's a variety of reasons that might cause a computer to not turn on, ranging from simple power problems to more complex hardware failures. Any computer repair starts with basic troubleshooting, then move to more advanced steps if needed.
First, check to make sure the computer is plugged into an outlet that has power. Next, try swapping the power cord or power supply to see if that makes any difference.
If there are any lights blinking or solid, that's a good indication the computer is getting some power and the issue might be something different like a screen problem or other hardware failure.

A slow computer can be frustrating. Several things can cause this, including too many running programs, too many open browswer tabs, insufficient RAM, a nearly full hard drive, outdated software, malware, or an old computer that just can't keep up any more. Addressing these issues can often significantly improve performance. The first step to any slow computer is to power it off for a few minutes and then power if back on and see if there's any improvement. Next you can launch Task Manager (in Windows) or Activity Monitor (in Mac) to see if there are any programs that are using a large amount of RAM, CPU or Hard Drive resources. Sometimes it's possible to force these programs to quit, but do so at your own risk if you're not sure what they are.

To remove a virus from your computer, you should first disconnect from the internet to prevent further spreading. Then, boot into Safe Mode and run a full scan with a reputable antivirus or anti-malware program. (Pro Tip: We have found that Windows Defender is terribly insufficient in providing computer security and highly recommend a reputable 3rd-party security software.) After the scan is complete, delete or quarantine any infected files identified by the scan. Finally, reboot your computer and consider changing passwords for online accounts.

Data can often be recovered from a crashed hard drive, however the success rate and cost depend on the type and complexity of the damage. If the drive is only experiencing file errors (like corrupted files or file systems), data recovery software might be sufficient. However, if the drive has suffered mechanical failure (like a head crash or motor failure), third-party professional data recovery services are often necessary.

That's honestly kind of a loaded question very similar to the question, "How much does it cost to repair a car?" It depends on the manufacturer, model, parts availability, repair time a several other factors. That being said, the average cost of most repairs falls in the range of $150 to $200.
