These terms govern the computer repair and technical services provided by The Computer Solution LLC (“The Computer Solution,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) in Durango, Colorado. By dropping off or sending us a device, submitting a check-in form, or otherwise using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms. Please read the Limitation of Liability first.
Limitation of Liability
Your data and your backup
We treat your data as our number one priority and take every reasonable precaution to protect it while your computer is in our care. That said, technology can fail without warning, and keeping a current backup of your data is ultimately your responsibility. The Computer Solution is not responsible for the loss of data in the event of drive failure, data corruption, power events, software faults, or other circumstances outside our control. If you do not have a reliable backup, please let us know before any work begins so we can discuss your options.
Limitation of liability
In no event shall The Computer Solution LLC, its owner, employees, representatives, or agents be liable for any direct, special, incidental, consequential, punitive, or indirect damages (including but not limited to loss of data, use, or profits), however caused, whether by breach of contract, negligence, or otherwise, and whether or not The Computer Solution has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
No consequential damages
In no event shall The Computer Solution LLC, its owner, employees, representatives, or agents be liable for special, incidental, consequential, punitive, indirect, or other special damages, including but not limited to loss of data, use, or profits, however caused, whether for breach of contract, negligence, or otherwise, and whether or not The Computer Solution has been advised of the possibility of any such damages.
Diagnostics, estimates, and approval
Assessment and diagnostics are free. We will explain what we find and provide a price range before any chargeable work begins. We do not perform paid repairs without your approval. Our results-based policy means you do not pay for a repair we are unable to complete.
Parts and payment
Parts, hardware, and new computers are paid for in full up front. Services are invoiced after results are obtained and verified. We accept cash, check, all major credit cards, ACH, and other arranged methods. Any deposits collected for parts are non-refundable once the parts have been ordered.
Passwords and access
To service your device, we may need your computer login (the password or PIN used to sign in to the computer itself). Please provide your computer login only. Do not provide passwords to your email, banking, or other online accounts. Any login information you share is kept confidential and used solely to perform the work you have requested.
Privacy and your files
We access only the files and settings necessary to diagnose and complete the requested work. We do not browse, copy, share, or use your personal data for any other purpose. Information you provide to us (such as your name, contact details, and device information) is used only to deliver and follow up on your service.
Equipment pickup and abandoned property
Please arrange to pick up your equipment promptly once service is complete and you have been notified. Equipment left for more than sixty (60) days after we notify you that it is ready, without arrangement, may be considered abandoned and disposed of or recycled at our discretion. (Specific timeframe subject to confirmation by the owner.)
Workmanship
We stand behind the work we perform. If an issue we repaired recurs as a direct result of that repair, contact us and we will make it right. This does not cover new, unrelated problems, accidental damage, or pre-existing conditions disclosed to you during assessment.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you authorize service applies to that service. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
